The first U.S. Open was played at Newport Golf Club, Newport R.I. and saw Horace Rawlins win the inaugural U.S.Open Title, two strokes ahead of runner-up Willie Dunn.
This stunning ball marker commemorates the very first U.S. Open using an original 1895 Indian Head penny which has been surrounded by a steel edging commemorating the date-1895, location - Newport Golf Club R.I.and champion - Horace Rawlins. Each ball marker measures 1 9/16" and comes in a protective, drawstring pouch.
