This striking color print signed by the artist Thomas Mitchell Pierce is circa 1905 and unframed.

Thomas Mitchell Peirce (1864 - 1929) was an American artist. The son of Peter Randolph Livingston Peirce and Cordella Mitchell, he was educated at Bates Preparatory School, San Francisco before studying art in New York City and Paris. In 1897 he married Harriet May Neal. who was the niece of L. Frank Baum, an American author best known for his children's fantasy books, particularly The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
